- an church 001
The Antwerp Cathedral of Our Lady in twilight. Again, as typical of Gothic cathedrals at those times, the second tower was never completed, very likely because of the Church running out of money. - an station 001
Main train station at Antwerp. Incidentally, part of the funds used to build magnificent station - dubbed the 'railway cathedral' was from the compensation resulting from the Eight-power Allied forces. ps. Didn't mean to flaunt my knowledge of history, but it pays to read any signs posted near historical buildings/sites... - leuven church1
Close-up of the church opposite the student hostel (of Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) where I stayed for one night. - leuven church2
The cathedral near the campus of Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (the "orignial" Catholic University of Louvain). Had lunch at one of the cafes (bottom left) next to the cathedral, which was undergoing some restoration work done at the time.
